The Ƶ School of Technology successfully conducted IT Essentials, an Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) event centered on creativity, innovation, and critical problem-solving, held at the Business Forum Hall 2 last June 8, 2026. The event featured two distinguished speakers who shared invaluable industry insights with the participants.

 

Mr. Arren Martinez, a Multimedia Artist and IT Specialist, opened the sessions by introducing new perspectives on digital creativity and design innovation, showcasing advanced techniques in multimedia arts and 3D design using Autodesk Maya. Following this, Engr. Moiselle Roxas, a Treston International College alumna from Batch 2016, delivered an inspiring presentation titled “The Future Belongs to Problem Solvers,” which motivated students to cultivate critical thinking skills and prepare to become the innovative leaders of tomorrow.

 

The event brought together attendees at the venue alongside an active online audience comprising students from Ƶ Senior High School and Ezentia Incorporated. The School of Technology extends its appreciation to the speakers and participants for making the event a resounding success.

The Ƶ School of Culinary, Hospitality & Tourism officially wrapped up The Epicuria 2026: The Culminating Fine Dining Experience last June 11, 2026, at the Treston Bar & Dining Hall. Serving as the ultimate culmination for Food and Beverage Services Operations Management, Culinary Management and Applied Nutrition and Meal Planning, and Macro Perspective, this exquisite banquet was a brilliant showcase of the students’ skills, creativity, and industry competency. Designed to develop real-world hospitality and tourism readiness, the event allowed the students to apply their learned concepts in a simulated professional environment.

 

This memorable milestone was executed flawlessly thanks to the outstanding leadership and teamwork of the student organizing committee, which featured Sam Kingsley Gallangi as Maitre d’hotel, Alyssa Louise Cordova as Executive Chef, and Kyra Paed and Hilary Paderanga as Event Overseers. They achieved this success under the expert guidance of SCHT Head Dr. Jazzy Buela, Event Lead and Coordinator Mr. Vince Gabriel, and Event Coordinators Chef Archie Menchaves, Chef Aron Pioquid, and Chef Mike Silbor.

The meeting brought together key leaders to discuss these future ventures. Representing Treston International College were Ms. Maria Carolina Abanil, Academic Director; Mr. Kenneth Castillo, Senior High School Assistant Principal; Ms. Gladys Estrella, Head, Student Affairs & Services Office; Ms. Minerva Basilio, School Head, School of Arts & Sciences; and School of Business faculty members Mr. Ronald Untivero and Mr. Jose Rowell Talatala. Representing USJ Macao were Dr. Alessandro Lampo, Head of the Department of Business Studies, Faculty of Business and Law, and Dr. Emil Marques, Head of the Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office.

In partnership with , Treston International College, through Treston Cares, participated in ‘Golden Heart Beyond’ held last May 30, 2026 at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City (UP BGC). The event, which supports the families of children with Cerebral Palsy through motivational talks and therapy training, provided a platform for Treston student volunteers to engage in community service. This initiative aligns with the strategic partnership formalized between TRESTON and JCI Manila through a Memorandum of Agreement signed on May 11, 2026, aimed at bridging academic learning with social responsibility through co-managed institutional projects.

 

In recognition of this collaboration, TRESTON was honored with a Plaque of Appreciation and received seven wheelchairs sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which will be utilized to support future Treston Cares outreach and community impact programs. TRESTON extends its gratitude to JCI Manila, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and all participating organizations for their collaboration in advancing these inclusive, service-driven initiatives.

Treston International College recently welcomed esteemed industry leaders, educators, and practitioners to its campus, serving as the official venue host for the 2026 (WeTAP) General Membership Meeting on May 21, 2026. This gathering provided a premier collaborative space dedicated to shaping the future of Philippine wellness and tourism.

 

The event commenced with a solemn invocation led by Treston’s Head of Fitness and Wellness, Mr. Cesar Cruz, Jr., followed by opening remarks from WeTAP President, Ms. Vikki Aquino. Setting a forward-looking tone for the assembly, the program immediately highlighted key industry innovations, beginning with an introduction to the LOVE PH DOT App Platform—a unified digital ecosystem for Philippine tourism—presented by Ms. Kim Bandola and the Positive Exposure team.

 

The general assembly also featured critical industry insights from a distinguished lineup of speakers. Mr. Faheem Ebrahim discussed the strategic integration of AI in wellness tourism initiatives, while Dr. Paulo Tugbang of the Department of Tourism delivered a data-driven analysis of current wellness and sustainability trends. These presentations were further complemented by updates on Global Wellness Day PH from Ms. Paola Restrepo, followed by the official launch of the WeTAP 12 Excellence Wellness Series.

Treston International College, through its Senior High School Department, organized a free campus journalism seminar for school paper advisers and campus journalism trainers from the public and private schools of the Schools Division of Taguig City & Pateros (SDO TaPat), and schools from neighboring cities of Makati, Pasig, Pasay, and Manila, held at the school’s Plenary Hall, May 21.

 

Present during the one-day seminar are the following: Dr. Marcial Sision, public schools district supervisor and senior high school focal person at SDO TaPat who gave a special message; Mr. Kenneth Castillo, assistant principal of Treston’s SHS Department, who delivered the opening remarks; Mr. Wilmor Pacay III, head of the Innovation, Publication & Research Office of Treston, who introduced the resource persons; and Dean Maria Carolina Abanil, the academic director and senior high school principal of Treston, who gave the closing remarks.

 

Among the invited resource persons for the event are Ms. Krishia Camille Soriano (Opinion Writing: Columns & Editorials) and Ms. Crystal Bernadette Naoe (Science & Technology Writing) who are both faculty members of the SHS Department of Treston while serving concurrently as school paper adviser (Ms. Soriano) and one of Treston’s campus journalism trainers (Ms. Naoe). Guest resource persons from outside Treston are Dr. Dolores Taylan, associate professor at De La Salle University Manila and adviser of Ang Pahayang Plaridel for over 20 years now, for the topic School Paper Advising; Mr. Jasper Emmanuel Arcalas, instructor at the journalism department of the University of Santo Tomas and correspondent at the Philippine Star for Teaching News Writing; and Mr. Mark Villaluna, campus journalism trainer and independent journalist for Teaching Feature Writing.

 

The event is an important gathering of campus journalism advisers and campus journalism trainers not just for various levels of annual schools press conferences but for further strengthening the craft of writing in campus journalism education among the campus journalists.

 

“It is our way of giving back to our schools who have been our partners through the years. Through your efforts in sending students to us, we have achieved remarkable achievements in campus journalism, most notably when we vied for a place in the National Schools Press Conference in Ormoc City for Pagsulat ng Agham, and our school paper, Treston Pride’s recent win as Ranked 9th in best sports page and Ranked 1st in best editorial page. Beyond these, our students–be in creative writing or journalism–are honed to become fine writers of their chosen field,” Dean Abanil said in closing.

 

The one-day gathering of campus journalism mentors was made through the support of the Student Affairs & Services Office, the Recruitment & Admissions Offices, the Innovation, Publication & Research Office, and the Office of the Executive Vice President.

Present during the onsite meeting at TRESTON are Mr. Ricky Ador Dionisio, Supervising Education Program Specialist & SPJ Focal Person and Ms. Janinn Almeyda-Mendoza, Supervising Education Program Specialist & SPJ Co-Focal Person.

Meanwhile, Kathleen Sum and Ma. Angelica Robbylin Hierro, BS Culinary Management, and Lealyn Fortaliza, BS Accountancy, passed the Management Spreadsheet Certification for their precision in data management, complex calculations, and analytical reporting.
